Engage in weekly Criterium mode to unlock additional team content, including new riders and World Tour jerseys, letting you tailor your team as you wish.
Adapt your strategy to various stages; in multiplayer, conquer the Col du Galibier with mountain or sprint teams. Rider characteristics are randomly assigned at the start to ensure fair play, challenging you to prove your prowess on all terrains. Performance in each session dictates your points and progression towards unlocking legendary cyclists.
Experience Tour de France 2024 with expanded options: access 15 new Pro Tour teams like Burgos-BH, Kern Pharma, Euskatel-Euskadi, Q36.5 Pro Cycling team, and many more in My Tour, Pro Team, and Pro Leader modes. Lead a top UCI team or create a new one, recruiting the best riders or developing your own squad.
Leverage new customization options in My Tour to design races, altering rules as desired. Utilize official Tour de France, Paris-Nice, or Critérium du Dauphiné regulations to vary your tours.
Improvements include enhanced accessibility, revised AI for various stages, the 2024 Tour de France route, variable recovery times from falls, leaders using teammates as relays, and controller vibrations on dirt roads.

Tour de France 2024 is a fun cycling experience that is hard to master. It takes patience to prepare well for a race and decide when it’s the right time to force the pace or attack. Sure, players can pick real-world teams featuring the best riders if they want to dominate competitions. But I had much more fun as the underdog, exploiting opportunities and celebrating third places.

Tour De France 2024 is yet another yearly installment of Nacon’s racing/managing franchise, based on the most notable cycling event of the year. A rather poor presentation, handling and physics make the actual act of riding not a particularly exciting one, though the pretty deep strategic options given by the peloton racing make for a compelling and unusual racing experience that’s worth a try. Proper multiplayer is finally present as well, albeit limited to 6 players, making this the best entry point to the series thus far. I also feel that such a level of micromanaging only truly caters to big fans of this discipline, whereas newcomers will find an otherwise rather poor racer where managing energy levels is far more important than… well, riding well. Tour De France 2024 isn’t for everyone, and it feels somewhat poorly made in a lot of areas, but it’s still an interesting game for cycling fans who, especially on console, don’t have a lot to pick from anyway.

For veterans of this series of games, no doubt it will be much more of the same for you ultimately and whilst the online multiplayer is limited with only 6 of you competing, it is a great start at building in competitive play with real life players. There is a potential for tens if not hundreds of hours of gameplay here depending on how you enjoy the game and what you want to gain from it ultimately. On consoles though, you aren’t going to find a better competitive cycling game than one that is dedicated to the biggest event on the planet in this field. Tour De France 2024 is a solid entry and worth a look at.
