This new edition is derived from the 2012 PS VITA release "Fate/stay night Realta Nua," now featuring full HD graphics and animations. For the first time, the game includes language options such as English and Simplified Chinese. Dive into the gripping narrative of Shirou Emiya, a teenager aspiring to be a Hero of Justice, as he battles for the almighty wish-granting Holy Grail.
The ever-expanding Fate series, including the mobile sensation "Fate/Grand Order," revisits its origins in this enhanced release.
Story:
The Holy Grail War
In Fuyuki City, a ritualistic battle known as the Holy Grail War unfolds, where seven magi, called Masters, vie for the Holy Grail—a powerful artifact that grants any wish. They summon Heroic Spirits, known as Servants, to fight for supremacy. History has yet to see a victor in the past four Holy Grail Wars. During the Fourth War, Shirou Emiya was rescued from the fires of conflict by the mage Kiritsugu Emiya, who later became his adoptive father. Despite Kiritsugu's reluctance, Shirou relentlessly pursued learning magecraft. On his deathbed, Kiritsugu extracted a promise from Shirou to become a Hero of Justice.
In the present day, Shirou becomes embroiled in the Holy Grail War and is attacked by a Servant. Just as he faces certain death, a knightly armored girl appears, saving him. Thus begins the intertwined fates of Shirou and his Servant, the Heroic Spirit of the Sword.

The bottom line is that Fate/Stay Night is a keystone work in a genre that’s never been more popular on our side of the globe. For decades, it seemed like this historically important (and good as heck by itself anyway) visual novel would never be readily available and professionally localized like this. Anyone with an interest in anime, gaming, and alternative forms of digital storytelling owes it to themselves to check this story out. It’s one of the all-time greats, and if you do take the time (and it does take a lot of time), you’ll easily understand why Fate is such a big deal nowadays. And if this is your first time, welcome to one of the most absurd, yet rewarding rabbit holes you can dive into.
